Holidays at the Caldaro Lake
The Caldaro Lake is widely known and appreciated as the warmest lake in the entire Alps. As early as in the spring, there are those who just cannot wait to dive into its cold waters, activating their circulation and promoting their physical wellbeing in its waters, applying the rules of Sebastian Kneipp. There is a natural habitat for rare species of nesting birds in the southern side of the lake, while on the northern bank the lake is flanked by vineyards and apple trees. On the east and west bank there is a lawn, swimming pools, peddle-boat hire, bars and restaurants providing distractions for the guests.
Hiking in Caldaro
In these parts, hikers will never be bored! With over 120 km of sign-posted trails, leading through various climatic zones, the landscape goes from Mediterranean to Alpine, from the Caldaro Lake to the summit of Mount Roen, situated at an altitude of over 1,800 m.
